 Keith Westmacott Bio:

"I was born in Dublin 1947. Brendan Behan(*) told my mother I was going to be a playwright. Barry Fitzgerald(*) told her I was going to be an actor. Instead I became an accountant and smoked a pipe.

I can resist anything except a challenge, my doctor said I wasn’t fit and if I didn’t stop smoking I would be dead at 60.
Quit smoking and ran five marathons. I am still alive.

My wife said, if you can’t find a good book to read, why  don’t you write one yourself.

Worked in South America for 6 years, and loved it. Adopted our son Arthur and came back to Europe in 1998 to retire with my wife and dog in Switzerland.

And now here is another challenge — stand up in front of an audience and try not to make a fool of yourself! So I joined Toastmasters and am currently President of the Lausanne Club."

Bio:  Ray Driscoll is a self confessed closet writer; writing articles and short stories for irish publications. He comes from Ireland, although born in Dublin spent most of his teenage years in Co Clare in the West of Ireland… immersed in Irish music, while simultaneously playing in many rock and blues bands … leading to his involvement in the Celtic Rock movement in the 70’s

He has played and recorded with Donal Lunny (planxty), Johnny Fean (Horslips), The Fury’s and some members of the Dubliners. In recent years he produced various charity compilation albums featuring Bob Dylan, Lou Reed, John lee hooker, Paul McCartney, U2, Sinead O’Connor among others.

“I Started playing guitar at 14 - learned 2 chords and entered a folk contest with my brother, came 2nd and joined a folk group called the Eagles... dropped out of school and headed to London: played in a blues band, studied classical guitar and become like Julian Bream (in appearance). Worked as a sound engineer (fancy name for general dogs body) for everyone including Van Morrison, The Bards, Paul Brady, the Business, Mary Black Played in various bands started my own band that stood in for U2 one night (ok ok it was the late 70’s)… Oh yeah, and I also play my own trumpet tut tut…

Now I’m writing and producing my own and others’ music." - Ray Driscoll
